Family-centred Support for Preschoolers with Disabilities: Rapid Review

This rapid review examines the effectiveness of family-centered support interventions for preschoolers with disabilities. Through a comprehensive analysis of existing literature, this study aims to identify key components of family-centered support programs and evaluate their impact on child development, family functioning and overall well-being. Findings highlight insert key findings, offering insights for practitioners, policymakers and researchers seeking to enhance support services for families of preschoolers with disabilities. The rapid review approach allows for a timely synthesis of evidence to inform decision-making and guide the development and implementation of support services for families of preschoolers with disabilities. By synthesizing findings from a diverse range of studies, this review offers a comprehensive overview of the current state of knowledge on family-centered support interventions and their impact on child and family outcomes. Through a critical appraisal of existing evidence, this study aims to identify gaps in the literature, highlight areas for further research and inform the design and delivery of effective support programs for families of preschoolers with disabilities.

Impact Analysis of Public Telemedicine Policy in the Brazilian Unified Health System

This study's impact analysis reveals the promising potential of telemedicine within the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS) to address healthcare access barriers and enhance healthcare delivery. By facilitating remote consultations, specialist referrals and remote monitoring, telemedicine has expanded access to medical services, particularly for underserved populations in rural and remote areas. Additionally, telemedicine has demonstrated its capacity to improve healthcare efficiency by streamlining care delivery processes, reducing wait times and optimizing resource allocation. However, challenges related to technical infrastructure, regulatory frameworks and digital literacy persist, requiring collaborative efforts among policymakers, healthcare providers, technology developers and other stakeholders to overcome barriers and ensure equitable access to telemedicine services for all Brazilians. This study provides evidence-based insights for policymakers and stakeholders involved in shaping the future of telemedicine in Brazil's public healthcare system, guiding efforts to harness telemedicine's transformative potential to improve health outcomes and promote health equity across the country.

This exploration delves into the gender and age demographics of patients treated by Emergency Medical Teams (EMTs) during disasters. Through an analysis of data collected from various disaster response scenarios, this study investigates patterns and disparities in the distribution of medical care among different demographic groups. Findings indicate insert key findings , shedding light on the nuances of gender and age dynamics in disaster healthcare delivery and informing strategies for more equitable and effective emergency response efforts. In this exploration, we employ a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative analysis of patient demographics with qualitative insights from EMTs and disaster responders. By triangulating data from multiple sources and perspectives, we aim to provide a comprehensive understanding of the gender and age dynamics in disaster healthcare delivery and highlight areas for intervention and improvement. Ultimately, this research seeks to contribute to the development of more inclusive, responsive and effective emergency medical services that address the diverse needs and vulnerabilities of all individuals affected by disasters.

Diabetic Patients with COVID-19: Hospital Mortality and Morbidity in the UAE-A Retrospective Analysis

This retrospective analysis investigates the hospital mortality and morbidity outcomes of diabetic patients with COVID-19 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The study examines data from hospitalized diabetic patients diagnosed with COVID-19 between specific dates , focusing on mortality rates, clinical complications and comorbidities. Through this study, we endeavor to provide insights into the clinical characteristics and outcomes of diabetic patients with COVID-19 in the UAE, contributing to the evidence base for risk stratification, treatment algorithms and resource allocation. By elucidating the complex interplay between diabetes and COVID-19, we can better tailor interventions to mitigate the impact of the pandemic on diabetic individuals, ultimately improving patient care and reducing healthcare disparities in the UAE and beyond.
